TheLadders Offers Free Services to Job Seekers Affected by Sandy

Online job-matching service TheLadders has donated more than $300,000 in services to new and existing members located in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy. Members are able to redeem a free three-month premium membership to help jumpstart efforts to improve the Tri-State Area’s damaged employment market. The plan offers job matches, hiring alerts, job applications, and resume uploading, which becomes searchable by affiliated recruiters and employers.

Affected users are also eligible to receive a free, detailed resume critique from a certified professional resume writer and career advice from a TheLadders job search expert.

“After our own downtown office was closed for nine days, we realized firsthand how Hurricane Sandy may have affected the job-search efforts for hundreds of thousands of our job seekers in the Tri-State Area,” said Alex Douzet, COO and Co-founder, TheLadders. “Fortunately, we are in a unique position to ease the anxiety and financial burden associated with looking for a job, especially during this uncertain time, and providing more than $300,000 in free job-search services enables us to assist these job seekers in substantial ways.”
