Survey: Improved Technology Makes Companies More Attractive
The survey reported that 65 percent of workers said that the success of an organization relies on the availability of up-to-date technology that is readily accessible to employees. About half of respondents agreed that the level of technology available at a given workplace is a vital feature when searching for a job; for Generation Y, that number reaches 75 percent. But, just 45 percent of employees reported feeling as though their workplace provides that technology to all employees.
Other key findings from the survey include:
• 22 percent of respondents said they would quit or change jobs should they lose access to the latest technology trends
• 53 percent said it was absolutely necessary to have access to the latest technology in order to properly do their jobs
• 72 percent said that reliance on technology has increased over the past five years, and 46 percent said that reliance has seen a significant increase
