Jobs for friends logoGermany-based erecruiting company Softgarden recently released its social recruitment tool, Jobs-for-Friends. The platform allows both recruiters and hiring managers to promote jobs within their colleagues’ networks. Once a job is described, the recruiter’s or hiring manager’s colleagues get an invitation by email to share the job(s) within their own networks. Networks may include LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or Xing—a combination of networks or all the sites together works as well. The platform is designed to promote job awareness as the friends of colleagues’ discover published job postings when browsing their personal networks.

For every job an individual’s colleagues share he or she receives bonus points from Jobs-for-Friends. The collected points can be redeemed according to the miles and more program once individuals reach a certain amount.

The social recruiting application works in just four simple steps:

1. Promote a job. A recruiter or hiring manager describes a job and, via email, invites colleagues to share it.

2. Share the job. His or her colleagues then use the link from the email to share the job via their social networks.

3. Friends become aware of the job. The colleagues’ friends discover the jobs in their networks. The job posting is complete with an authentic picture of the job and the company. Friends then  apply for the job.

4.  Reward colleagues. With every job shared your colleagues collect bonus points from Jobs-for-Friends. The points can be redeemed once a certain amount is reached.
