All the Recruiting News That’s Fit to Print
Right now, it’s just what’s going on just at Recruiter.com. It’s a nice snapshot that I know I check out regularly myself (of course.) We’re going to keep updating the space though until it’s not just about Recruiter.com, but about everything that’s going on in recruiting all across the web. As you might imagine, that’s going to take a little bit of work, but I’m up for it. (This said after, I believe, a 1,200 calorie lunch.)
If you have a particular set of news items that you want to see covered, subjects that need explaining, or anything else that would make the section more useful, please drop us a note through the site or direct email.
As Superman recently said (right before he renounced his US Citizenship – ouch!), “The world’s too small. Too connected.” We aren’t hoping to be some kind of breaking news site, because who needs another? CNN couldn’t beat Twitter about the Osama news and I’m confident you will continue to look for real breaking news through other real time and social media. And really, does breaking online recruiting news… matter too much? But what we do hope to do is mix recruiting news up with a bit of analysis and put it alongside some great daily articles with practical advice for recruiters and job seekers.
BTW, last year I wrote a quick post about some major business changes to the world of online recruiting in 2010. Maybe it’s because I am in the business of recruiting websites, but I’m really interested in these company developments. I want to write another article about updates to those big 2010 transactions and some other new developments of this year. If you had to say what was going on this year so far in online recruiting, what would you say?
