New Tablet App Released for Newton ATS Users

Newton Software, provider of applicant tracking software (ATS) for small and medium-sized employers, announced the release of the beta version of Newton Touch, a free tablet application for users of Newton’s corporate ATS. Working from an iPad or Android tablet, Newton Touch performs most of the tasks available for the standard recruiting software platform. Newton Touch users can perform a variety of actions from mobile tablet platforms including:

• Tracking and monitoring applicant pipelines for jobs; a mobile version of the standard Newton dashboard.

• Reviewing applicants via access to complete resumes viewable through a mobile document viewer.

• Make pass-and-pursue hiring decisions on the go.

• Search for job candidates by name or skill set.

“Today, employers can buy recruiting software with every feature imaginable but if the end users, mainly hiring managers, don’t use it or can’t access the right information when and where they want to, having this feature or that feature doesn’t matter,” said Joel Passen, Newton Software’s head of marketing and co-founder.
