Liberty Mutual Adds New Features to its Mobile Group Benefits App

 Policy holders of Liberty Mutual Insurance’s group life and disability plans now have access to the new View Status feature within MyLibertyMobile, the company’s mobile application for smartphones and tablets. Additional functions now accessible to employees of policy holders include reporting intermittent time away from work, activating benefits following child birth, and view the status and details of filed claims and leaves. MyLibertyMobile is accessible from any mobile device, offers a simple navigational interface, uses individual identifiers to recognize employees, and integrates, updates, and reports information system-wide.

“We built MyLibertyMobile to meet the needs of employees who already manage much of their life through their mobile device,” notes Anne Brogan, eBusiness Manager, Liberty Mutual Insurance Group Benefits. “View Status puts key claim and leave information at hand, empowering employees to quickly confirm the status of their claim, when a claim check will be issued, and how much leave time is available. Employers are eager to offer this additional communication option to employees.”

MyLibertyMobile offers an alternative means to facilitate communication with employers and employees aside from online, fax, and phone options. The new “quick hit” functionality for benefits transactions for mobile technology further expands communications options for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group Benefits customers.
