news The future of recruitment may lie in mobile devices.

CareerBuilder, the leading online career site in the U.S. – recently launched their own iPhone app for employers.

Entitled, “CareerBuilder for Employers,” the technology embraces the way communication and talent acquisition lines are changing.

“Being able to reach potential employees wherever you are provides a whole new level of speed, efficiency and convenience to recruitment,” said Brent Rasmussen, President of CareerBuilder North America. “Our new app is designed to help employers quickly connect with the fast-growing population of mobile job seekers and get a leg up on the competition for talent.”

Careerbuilder.com has over a million jobs and 32 million resumes.  The free app syncs directly with existing CareerBuilder accounts and provides a multitude of features for recruiters on-the-go.

Aside from ease of use functionality, the app also offers the ability to call, email, or send a letter to applicants. If a prospective candidate looks interesting, employers can save the  profile to a folder for further review.

“According to a 2011 nationwide CareerBuilder study of 2,600 employers and 5,000 workers, nearly one-in-five, 18 to 34-year-old job seekers reported they search for jobs and research companies using mobile devices. However, when it comes to communicating to this audience, the majority of employers (70 percent) reported that their corporate career site is not mobile-friendly,” Careerbuilder said in a recent press release.

In order to remedy this inequality, CareerBuilder also offers CBMobile – a solution that provides employers with a fully revamped career site – optimized for mobile devices. Coupled with CareerBuilder for Employers, the user finally has a turnkey solution for all their mobile recruitment needs.

CareerBuilder for Employers is out now and available for download on iTunes.
