Additionally, the US is expected to experience a tremendous shortage of qualified healthcare and medical professionals in the coming years. Specialized healthcare staffing technology, as would be expected, is also in high demand.

Known largely for its talent management solutions focused on the healthcare industry, HealthcareSource recently announced record breaking financial results for its second quarter ending June 30, 2011. Spurred by their popular healthcare management suite – with products such as Physician Recruitment Manager, Performance Manager and Interview Manager – Healthcare source achieved record bookings. (Bookings, of course – represent future contractual payments.)

“With our strong second quarter and start to 2011, we believe that we are in the early stages of realizing investments we have made in sales, marketing and product development,” said Peter Segall, President and CEO of HealthcareSource. “With the growing importance for the healthcare industry to acquire, retain, assess and develop quality talent, we continue to see significant growth across all of our product lines. In June, our company attained a significant milestone as we have processed over 50 million job applicants online through Position Manager, HealthcareSource’s applicant tracking product.”

HealthcareSource also saw the addition of many new hospitals as clients during the second quarter. With new hospitals adopting the company’s talent management software and current partners enhancing their existing relationship, the company now boasts over 1,500 healthcare facilities as clients.

Segall also stated: “Our investments in product development resulted in a number of new product releases during the second quarter, including Position Manager version 10.6.6, Performance Manager version 3.7 and a new module for TestSource, called Screen for FitSM, which allows clients to quickly identify best qualified applicants from large applicant pools.”

Aside from its sales performance and client acquisition, HealthcareSource also contributes thought-leadership in the healthcare talent management space. Along with the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, HealthcareSource recently conducted an online poll to evaluate trends for reducing costs, increasing patient satisfaction, and improving patient safety in hospitals and healthcare institutions.
