Gigwalk Launches Android App for Mobile-centric Temporary Workforce
“In order for Gigwalk to achieve our goal of building the largest and most-effective smartphone army in the world, we must tap into talent that lives across multiple mobile platforms,” said Matt Crampton, founder and chief technology officer, Gigwalk. “While this news positively impacts thousands of potential new Gigwalkers and creates meaningful jobs, it also gives us increased bandwidth for a higher amount of customers, coverage, speed, and completion rates.”
Similar to the iPhone app, Gigwalk for Android requires users to login before instantly seeing available Gigs located in their area. Once a user begins working a Gig, the app tracks all completed and pending Gigs. The app also connects businesses to Gigwalk’s back-end engine that intelligently matches the best talent for each listed Gig. Business also have access to an advanced reporting dashboard which provides real-time metrics and insights on job execution.
Businesses can post temporary Gigs such as positions for store audits, retail merchandising, field photography, in-story demos, stockroom work, customer surveys, and more through the Gigwalk homepage. These Gigs are instantly delivered to mobile users using the iPhone and Android apps. The Android version of Gigwalk is available for free in Google Play.
