newsRecently, Checkers/Rallys Drive-In restaurants decided to enhance its focus on high standards by implementing talent management technology in the form of the JobApp network. JobApp is a phone and web-based talent management tool for companies with a decentralized workforce. It is an “all-in-one’ hiring solution that integrates functions such as applicant tracking, behavioral assessments, talent management, background checks, tax screening, social recruiting, and I-9 and W-4 e-verify compliance. The technology not only eliminates paperwork for the entire hiring process, but identifies an organization’s best employees, aids in the selection of new talent, and helps management in determining the best next step in a company for its top talent.

Less than nine months later Checkers’ own analysis determined that the technology had led to a 40.9 percent decrease in turnover. JobApp’s paper elimination function removed 14,000 applications from over 300 corporate offices and completely eliminated paper from the hiring process. Furthermore, a survey of over 50 restaurant managers found that JobApp reduced time to hire. Over 90 percent of managers reported that they saved about 2 hours per week with the system.

Adam Noyes, Chief Restaurant Operations and Supply Chain Officer at Checkers commented, “With operational technologies well in hand, our JobApp partnership has helped us to focus on Hiring Right, which is the first step of the New People Strategy at Checkers. The JobApp tool has helped drive awareness to an available employment pool, and has systematized the manual system, providing our managers with tools to select the very best. We also partnered with JobApp on full integration with our other operating systems, so it is a win-win for our team and for our guests.”
