Buller Group to Host Certified Veteran Recruiter Program

The Buller Group, a worldwide recruiting and consulting firm, is set to host two Certified Veteran Recruiter programs before the year’s end. The CVR program is a new training course that helps professional recruiters gain the expertise needed for skillful Veteran talent acquisition. It is designed to establish competency in all aspects of the recruiting lifecycle as they pertain to the military Veteran and Wounded Warrior job candidate. The next two-day certification program, which is industry accredited by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), will take place on Nov. 13 and 14 in Reston, Va.

At the close of the second day, participants must take a mandatory learning assessment; therefore, full completion of the program is required to receive the Certificate of Completion, CVR credential and HRCI recertification

The Program’s cost of $1500, includes:

Participants practice their interview skills with Wounded Warriors

Sessions range in topic from decoding the military resume with speed and accuracy to overcoming resistance to hiring Veterans and Wounded Warriors. The program will cover all aspects of recruiting from interview questions, retention and sourcing candidates to job descriptions, compliance and making job offers.

When it comes to the labor market, veterans are a unique subset and most are unfamiliar with civilian recruiting professionals. A major reason for high unemployment rates within this group is the lack of adequate knowledge and skill pertaining to Veteran and Wounded Warrior job applicants. The Buller Group believes “training recruiting professionals to effectively source, screen, interview, assess and hire this valuable segment of the labor market is critical to the success of any Veteran hiring initiative.”
